FOUNDER - LAZARUS DOUVOS
Lazarus Douvos is an internationally renowned hair stylist with over three decades of experience perfecting the art of hair design. A rare combination of innate talent, dedication, and relentless hard work has allowed him to elevate his craft to the highest artistic level.
Born in Melbourne, Australia, to Greek immigrant parents, Lazarus began his career as a ballet dancer before turning to hairdressing. He trained at prestigious salons such as Rakis, quickly gaining recognition for his work on fashion shoots, demonstrations, seminars, and creative direction. In the early 1990s, he moved to Florence, Italy, where he entered the world of luxury, working as a senior stylist and consultant for fashion houses including Gucci and Salvatore Ferragamo.
After establishing his reputation in Florence, Lazarus returned to Melbourne to open his eponymous salon, sharing his expertise as a mentor and educator to emerging stylists.
In 2009, he moved to New York, where he became personal stylist to fashion icon and Hollywood celebrity the late Joan Rivers, and later a master stylist for legendary hairdresser Garren. He created editorial looks for US Vogue and served as personal hair stylist to journalist and fashion editor-at-large Hamish Bowles. Lazarus also contributed to runway shows during New York Fashion Week, assisting Garren for Calvin Klein in 2011 and Guido Palau for Ralph Lauren in 2012. In 2014, he led hair styling for the ADIDAS Selena Gomez Collection.
Years of working with leading haircare brands—and witnessing the confusion women faced with endless product choices—sparked Lazarus’s vision for his own streamlined haircare collection. Driven by his deep love for the craft and the emotive power of fragrance, he set out to marry the ritual of haircare with the emotional resonance of perfume. His muses embody his enduring gift: the ability to create beauty.
